Why Invest

Investing in property continues to represent a safe long-term investment unrivalled by any other. Historically, property prices have doubled every six to seven years despite short-term fluctuations in the market.

Investors are increasingly choosing to invest in property over stocks and shares for the long-term. Low interest rates and a strong economy in recent years have created the perfect environment for excellent returns.

Property has also become a recognized alternative to under performing pensions.

United Kingdom
Why invest in the United kingdom

The United Kingdom has a shortage of housing caused by a number of social and demographic factors resulting in an increase in demand for buy-to-let property. This should ensure that the price of property would continue to increase over the long term.

The demand for housing in the UK currently surpasses the supply. The current shortfall is estimated to be between 93,000 and 146,000 houses per year. In contrast, the UK population is rising at approximately 200,000 per year and the number of households is getting smaller.

Over the last 40 years, property prices have risen in 36 of those years and average annual house price growth has been 10.3%. In contrast, the FTSE 100 has only risen in 28 out of the last 40 years and average annual growth has been 8.36%.

Property has also become a recognized alternative to under performing pensions. From April 2006, the UK government regulations will allow investment in property through personal pensions for the first time. An estimated £11 billion will be invested in property through personal pensions next year alone.

Adding to this the fact that London has been awarded the privileged to host the 2012 Olympic Games, it is quite clear that the UK remains a sturdy and stable investment choice for any keen and educated property investor.

South Africa
Why invest in South Africa

The Republic of South Africa has experienced house price rises far in excess of traditional European favorites like France and Spain, but South Africa's house prices still remain lower than in many European countries.

The property market in South Africa is currently experiencing rapid growth, and similarly with the UK, demand surpasses supply. For these reasons the value of property is expected to increase significantly. For early investors, growth in the region of 15-30 per cent can be expected, which is why SAPIC has recognized the opportunity for long-term investment in South Africa.

Aside from rapidly rising property values, South Africa has a number of other advantages for foreign investors; South Africa has summer when Europe has winter, English is spoken widely and the time difference is only one hour, one could even spend a long weekend in South Africa without suffering from jet lag.
Another exciting reason for South Africa's growth in economy is it will be hosting the Football World Cup in 2010.

There has never been a better time to invest. South Africa currently offers fantastic opportunities for investors with a long-term objective.
