Describing South Africa is like being in a world within one country! South Africa is larger than France and Spain combined and stretches from the temperate Cape to the subtropical northern regions bordering with Zimbabwe and Mozambique. In the boundaries of South Africa are some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes; canyons, wildernesses showcasing game and cliffs dropping to the ocean.
South Africa is a developed country within the confines of Africa and boasts good infrastructure and roadways; yet exudes a multi-cultural charm that is unrivalled and often misunderstood.
Visit the beautiful Cape Winelands, Garden Route Area or the awe-inspiring beaches in Durban and Cape Town and you will soon realize that this African country is not to be forgotten. Due to the strong European influence that exists in everyday South African Culture, it has become a resting place for many emigrants seeking that patch of greener grass.
Here, where two great oceans meet, warm weather lasts most of the year, and big game roams just beyond the city lights.
Today, this country is the powerhouse of Africa, the most advanced, broad-based economy on the continent, with infrastructure to match any first-world nation.Two-thirds of Africa's electricity is generated here. Forty percent of the phones are here. Twenty percent of the world's gold is mined here and almost everyone who visits is astonished at how far a dollar will stretch. |

The United Kingdom is made up of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It has a long history as a major player in International Affairs and fulfils an important role in the EU, UN and Nato.
The economy, one of the largest in the world, is no longer manufacturing but services-based, with e-commerce of growing significance. The City of London is a global financial center.
The country has not yet adopted the euro currency and the debate continues over when, and indeed whether, it will do so. The government has said that a series of economic criteria must be met before a referendum on the issue is held.
In recent years the United Kingdom has made significant moves on devolution of powers to Scotland and Wales. The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh and the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff opened in 1999, and the possibility of devolution for the English regions has also been discussed.
The United Kingdom is home to a multicultural population, partly as the legacy of empire. There are more Asian restaurants in many towns than there are burger bars, and a former government minister has described a popular variety of curry as "Britain's true national dish".
The UK has been at the forefront of youth culture since the heyday of the Beatles and Rolling Stones in the 1960s.
It has a rich literary heritage encompassing the works of Englishman William Shakespeare, Scot Robert Burns, Welshman Dylan Thomas and Northern Irishman Seamus Heaney. Traditional music has deep roots across the UK which has also produced classical composers from Henry Purcell in the Baroque period to Benjamin Britten in the 20th century.
